Spring 2021: The Virtual Market

After canceling our Spring 2020 and Winter 2020 Markets due to pandemic restrictions, we as a Society are excited to return to highlighting and supporting the local craft community. Though the end is in sight, with many pandemic restrictions and outlooks still changing, we decided an online show is the safest way to do that this Spring.

What will that look like? Our Spring 2021 Virtual Market will be on social media: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.  Accepted vendors (around 40 ) will be featured in one standalone social media post over the course of the virtual show. We will tag each vendor’s account on the platform and a website or webstore, where possible.

This last year of restrictions has been incredibly challenging for so many, including Crafters. Many have been learning new business models and skills while balancing life in a pandemic. We’ve also been encouraged by the amount of support focused on supporting local. We hope this Virtual Market will harness this support and shine a light on the work of Nova Scotian Crafters.

The application and jurying process will be similar to the in-person shows. Vendors applying should review the categories and the Apply page for more information about applying. A webstore is encouraged, but not required. Photos and information required for the post will be provided by the vendor.

To the patrons who make our shows such fun, dynamic events: thank you and we hope this Virtual Show will give you a slice of the fun we’ve all missed. We hope to return with an in-person Market this Winter.
